Required for all Elementary Education students. This course develops the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary to teach healthy lifestyles and physical education to elementary-aged children. The purpose of the course is to enable prospective teachers to plan, implement and evaluate lessons that address healthy lifestyles and physical education objectives of the curriculum for elementary students. Students will practice their skills in a practicum in the public schools. Combined lecture/practicum. Prerequisite: Admission to the DSU Elementary Education Program. FA, SP
