This course prepares students for the surveying calculations on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, covering topics such as angles, distances, trigonometry, area and volume computations, coordinate systems, and leveling techniques. The focus is on using surveyed data for engineering applications rather than the physical act of surveying. Students will gain hands-on experience with equipment like transit levels, total stations, and GPS during labs, where they will collect data to reinforce lecture concepts. Additionally, students will learn to integrate surveying data with AutoCAD for real-world calculations. A laboratory fee is required for this course. Prerequisite(s):CEEN 1400 AND [C or better in MATH 1060 or higher-level mathematics course (MATH 1080, 1210) OR appropriate placement score] Semester(s):Spring & Summer
