An intermediate course that explores the impacts and usage of generative AI on various genres, styles, and modes of writing. This course examines questions of authorship (what counts as authoring), the potential role of AI in composing processes, and various ethical and legal implications of AI and writing. Students will engage with relevant scholarship and generative AI tools to critically assess different applications and to develop their own reasoned approach to AI usage in writing.(Fall) [Graded Letter] Prerequisite(s): AILE 1015 and ENGL 2010 Prerequisite Min.
