This introduction to technical writing introduces students to key genres in technical communication, while emphasizing human-centered writing and design. Students will learn to assess documents for rhetorical effectiveness and accessible design, and will practice communicating complex information to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Additionally, student writing in the course will reflect the recursive and iterative nature of writing, incorporating brainstorming, drafting, peer feedback, and revision.
