This course examines the legal, ethical, and pragmatic concerns that arise in the professional practice of working with families, couples, adolescents, and children. Graduate students will engage with common ethical dilemmas encountered in clinical and educational settings while developing a strong sense of professional identity. Emphasis is placed on clarifying personal values, biases, and worldviews, as well as applying professional codes of ethics to practice. Students will critically analyze real-world scenarios and develop frameworks to guide ethical decision-making within diverse and complex contexts.
