Institution:
Southern Utah University
Subject:
Description:
Clinical Practice II builds on students' initial clinical experiences by emphasizing the development of sustained therapeutic work across sessions. Students are expected to move beyond basic skill application to managing ongoing cases, revising treatment plans, and responding to evolving client needs. Supervision shifts from primarily directive instruction to collaborative refinement of clinical judgment, with increased expectations for independent preparation, case conceptualization, and integration of feedback. Emphasis is placed on treatment continuity, clinical decision-making, and responsiveness to client progress, preparing students for more autonomous practice in advanced clinical practice.
