Each student conducts individual research on the play of her choice. Honors students create program notes and a lobby display for a production in the Theatre Department's current or upcoming season.     For Theatre Majors and Non-majors. An exploration of costume and material culture throughout history. Through visually supported lectures and research projects students are immersed in costume and material culture history and the historical influences of each period. Research skills are developed and practiced. Prerequisites: "C" or better in (THEA 1550 OR THEA 1551) OR Instructor Consent.

This course provides students with a methodology that enables them to realize their costume designs for a play, including how to read a play for information about costumes, how to convey character through costumes, how to use costumes to help to tell the story of the play, how to make a design presentation, and how to organize design portfolios. Prerequisites: "C" or better in (THEA 2140 AND (THEA 3720 OR THEA 3725)) OR Instructor Consent.
