    Practical application of the process of choreography as it moves from studio to stage. In addition to demonstrating acquired choreographic knowledge, students gain experience in staging, group management, and the implementation of technical aspects of theatrical performance such as lighting design and costuming.     Course will consist of in-depth research into the choreographic style, structure, content, music, history, time period, national origin, and the social and political influences affecting selected works of choreographers from the 19th, 20th, and 21st century. This will be achieved through discussion, individual student presentations (2), viewing of videotapes, and creative research projects, culminating in completed choreographic works.     This course is a continuation of BALLE 4780 and offers a more in-depth examination of the art of teaching classical ballet. It specifically includes material for ages 10-17. The student will: acquire techniques for teaching age-appropriate ballet movement vocabulary; learn how to incorporate class progression in the studio; develop a teaching curriculum, accompanying syllabi, and lesson plans for sequential levels of ballet technique.
